Na nedavno održanom Golden Joystick Awardsu u Londonu, dijelile su se nagrade za najbolje igre godine. Od strane samih igrača, jedna igra je apsolutno briljirala. Radi se o Baldur’s Gateu 3, fantasy RPG-u u režiji belgijskog studija Larian Studios. Baldur’s Gate 3 je bio nominiran u sedam kategorija i u svih sedam je odnio pobjedu. Prvo i najvažnije, odnio je nagradu za “ultimativnu igru godine”, u konkurenciju koju su činili naslovi kao što su Starfield, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Alan Wake 2, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Uz nagradu za najbolju igru godine, pokupio je i nagradu za najbolju priču, najbolji vizualni dizajn, najbolju zajednicu, najbolju sporednu ulogu (Neil Newborn – Astarion) najbolju PC igru godine, dok je Larian Studios proglašen najboljim studijem ove godine.
Po odabiru kritičara najbolja igra je Alan Wake 2, a pomalo iznenađujuće, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom osvojila je samo jednu nagradu (Nintendo igra godine), dok je kao najbolja PlayStation igra godine izglasan Resident Evil 4 Remake.
